Importance of Raising Kids with an 'I Can-I Am' Attitude!

Roisin Bergin, Experienced Kids & Teens Yoga/ Mindset Teacher

When a child is brought up with an ‘I Can-I Am’ Attitude life’s challenges are just that challenges that they can work through and overcome. Their resilience grows as does their self-esteem and confidence. They believe in themselves and their abilities and they believe that they have a place in this world and that it is o.k to shine. Let your child know that they can do anything they set their mind to, because at the end of the day, anything is possible.

Embracing an ‘I Can I Am’ Attitude’ teaches children to embrace their uniqueness, inspires them to always be themselves and helps them feel good about who they are. Let your child know that there is only one of them in the world, nobody can ever replace them, that we all have our own unique, special gifts to offer to this world and if we were all the same the world would surely be one big boring place. Simple ‘I am’ Affirmations work wonders with children and they readily absorb them into their sub-conscious mind. Encourage your child to share with you their own Positive, Present Tense affirmations unique to them on a regular basis i.e. I am kind, I am lovable, I am happy..

Big Love,
Roisin X
