Spiritual Awareness Equals Love
Juliann Cunningham
Awakening begins in oneself.
When we find ourselves in a state of unhappiness and feel stuck there, know that this is temporary. As temporary as we make that decision that we’re sick and tired of being sick and tired. We realize that we do have choices. The choice to stay in the unhappy state or step out of that status to one that is beneficial and rewarding for our life. Mind over matter, so to speak. The ability to change is in our hands, in our mind, and in our heart.

Love Yourself Love Others
Understanding that feelings come from our own perception is the beginning awakening to change our lives. Perception is a storyline that we have created in our own minds. What happens to us, what others do or say is not to us directly but rather it is how we internalize what is being done or said. Our thoughts create our actions and our world, our health, and our happiness.
The decision to change our thoughts and perceptions changes our experiences. We truly can create the life we would like by changing our perceptions and thoughts. Everything is in the state of flux. Constantly changing.
The ability to change our lives to a positive, healthy, happy flow begins within! The hardest step we may ever take is taking the time for ourselves. To look within, to feel, witness, observe, grow, change, accept, and most importantly, love ourselves. When we are in this place of love, peace, joy and harmony, like dominoes, we affect others around us in positive ways.
Innate wisdom lies within us. First, we must begin by making the decision to sit down and be still. Learning to listen within ourselves. Trusting the divine wisdom within comes from tapping into our inner self. God said, “BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM” (Psalm 46:10) The entire universal is by divine plan. “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” (Matthew 6:26).

Everything begins with oneself!
Empowerment comes when we know that we are the ones who form our own lives by our thoughts, by our emotions, and by our actions. Once we realize this, then the teacher will appear to guide and teach us. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5). Trust the teacher within our Divine Self.
In yoga we say, prayer is speaking to God, meditation is listening. We listen to everyone else in our lives, why not listen to ourselves? Grow and learn to find our individual light and wisdom within. It is within this light, there is Love. Only Love.
