You are an Eternal Energetic Being

Have you ever taken off in an airplane on a rainy day?
As the plane ascends it climbs through the dark clouds until it breaks through them into a beautiful sunny “skyscape’ where the clouds below appear almost as land. Or, have you ever gone swimming, or diving, out in choppy water? The waves on the surface bounced you about, but once under the water it was peaceful and serene.
Our psyche can be like this. Our thoughts can be turbulent, our lives bounced about by outside forces. We may find it difficult to find our inner calm, or even remember that it exists.
OUR ENERGETIC BEING – PART ONE
Challenging times can overwhelm us.
We can feel helpless and victimized by the events or behavior of people around us. Whether it is a global challenge or a very personal one, it matters not to our mind and body. The response is the same. If we respond with fear, hopelessness, sadness or other “low frequency” emotions, we create a state of stress and anxiety within ourselves. In the short term these responses can help lead us to take action to change something, but, if left unresolved, they take their toll on our mental and physical health.
What do I mean by “low frequency”? Let’s begin with the proven premise that everything is energy. Everything is in motion, even though we usually don’t think of it that way. An atom (the fundamental piece of matter) is made up of protons, neutrons, and the swiftly se. They combine in a myriad of ways to create different forms, including the cells in our bodies. The cells of our bodies possess an energy that is often referred to as life force. For, if the atom ceases to move, the cells cease to have energy (life force) and the death of the body ensues. (The energy however does not end but, rather, transforms.)
The word emotion comes from “motion” meaning movement. Emotions have their own vibrational frequencies. The frequencies of emotions have actually been studied and measured by scientists, both electrically through the body’s signals and with radio waves. They have found that emotions can be charted on a vertical scale from higher frequency to lower frequency. Expansive to constrictive.

The higher the vibrational frequency is the greater the expansion, and the greater the Life Force in your cells. The lower the vibrational frequency, then the greater the contraction, and the lesser the Life Force in your cells.
It is the mind that creates your thoughts. Your thoughts create the emotional response and the energetic vibration that affects your body’s vibration. The frequency of the emotion can combine with your existing vibration to either raise it toward expansion, and greater life force, or it can lower it, decreasing your life force energy.
We all know the “feeling” of different emotions, and certainly would choose to feel happy, joyous, hopeful, and satisfied over angry, fearful, resentful, or hopeless. Even as you read this, I am sure that these feelings might have come to you just by seeing the words. Thoughts of when you have had those emotions may have arisen.
That is the power of words! That is the power of our mind. The way our thoughts respond to our environment can leave us bouncing helplessly on the turbulent waters of life or allow us to dive under it all to swim gently through the calm waters. Everything is energy, and we can choose to adjust our personal frequency through our thoughts.

OUR ENERGETIC BEING – PART TWO
In Part One of this article I focused on our bodies, our minds and how energy presents itself in the physical world. This is the world we can see, hear, touch, feel and measure. As I noted, even the energy of emotions can be measured by scientists. This is the world we are constantly aware of as physical beings. There is another energetic part of each of us that is non-physical. This is the part of us referred to as soul or spirit. It is the part of us that most of us “forget” when we are born into this human race. Small children often “remember” that the person they are now is not “who” they are. But we lose that with age and cultural teachings, especially in Western Cultures.
As I did in Part One, I would like to provide some science behind this concept, but for the past 100 years scientists, for the most part, have dismissed anything that is outside the physical world.
Before that there were references to “the ether” the unseen essence that surrounds everything, through which thoughts, knowledge and spiritual beings could move.
Modern science has found some “spooky action at a distance” as Einstein called it. There are experiments that show “entanglement” between physical particles. Experimenters split material and separate it by thousands of miles. They manipulate one, and as it has a response, the separated “twin” responds in kind, with no passage of time, faster than the speed of light, with no known opportunity for communication to travel in our physical reality.

The “twins” are connected in a way that we cannot explain (the erstwhile ether!). Just the same way as our energetic soul may be connected to us in our physical form, it is free to exist and move in ways unknown to science.
Our soul is with us here, but not a captive of our body, or our world as we know it.
As a Past Life, and Life Between Lives Hypnosis Specialist, as well as a Medium I have communicated with souls, both incarnate (the souls of my clients) and those who have no physical form here. I have learned through my own experience, and through theirs, that our souls reside in a place of peace, as well as within us. That place of peaceful rest is accessible to us because we are energetically one.
All religions refer to a spirit, soul, or energy. The bible tells of Jesus “rising from the dead” in spirit form he said ‘Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.”
The Hindu Bhagavad Gita tells us “For the soul, there is never birth nor death. Nor, having once been, does he ever cease to be. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, undying and primeval. He is not slain when the body is slain.”

The Buddha said, “Perhaps the deepest reason why we are afraid of death is because we do not know who we are.” It is an intuitive knowing that we all have but may have forgotten.
So, why is it important to know this?Knowing that we have an eternal self, and learning how to access that eternal, unchangeable, peaceful part of ourselves, can provide clarity and comfort. When we realize that the turmoil of any given day is just the wave on the surface of the water, or the storm cloud below the clear sky, we can find that connection with that unchanging part of us that is, itself, connected to the Source of the highest frequencies of Enlightenment, Peace, Joy and Love.
